This past week has been yet another great one here at KwaMbili. We had lions staying not far from camp and even the young cubs have been showing their faces every now and then. There have also been some stunning sightings of elephant and buffalo wallowing in the water and mud.
Birding has also been good with a whole variety of birds of prey from Dark Chanting Goshawks to juvenile Bateleurs and some very photogenic European Rollers which visit every year from Europe. Four Ground Hornbills were also sighted – a very special moment.
To conclude the week we bumped into some hyena in broad daylight – unfortunately they were moving fast and soon disappeared – but still a real treat!
