The Tawny Eagle

Vultures are not the only birds to eat carrion. There is also another bird which may not immediately come to mind – the Tawny Eagle. Whenever you see vultures as well as Tawny Eagles in a tree you know there is a carcass around. But Tawny eagles also hunt their own food, killing animals such as rabbits, small reptiles as well as birds up to the size of a Guinea Fowl – which is larger than the eagle itself!
