It’s not always during game drives that we get surprised by animals – even just going to clear fallen-down trees from the road we have to keep our eyes open. While we were preparing to move a tree, we suddenly saw movement and to our surprise there was a fairly large python in the tree. We managed to get a meter from the python to take these photos. The camouflage is amazing considering its relatively bright colours. Once we had our photos we let the python continue undisturbed and it slowly slithered off into the grass and disappeared.
