Big Cats Galore

We had a great sighting of the three lionesses from the southern pride attempting to make a kill by stalking a buffalo but they were unfortunately unsuccessful as they were spotted by the buffalo herd. They gave up and nestled under a nearby guarri bush. Then you will remember that our old favourite dominant male lion Marvin took quite a beating a while back and was driven off by two younger males we call Black Dam and Mr T. Well Mr T subsequently injured himself trying to take down a buffalo and has never recovered, hardly managing to move. Marvin on the other hand has recovered well and has now usurped Mr T’s position and formed an alliance with Black Dam. So it’s no exception to see the two formal mortal enemies together and we spotted them again this week having a lazy nap on the dam wall of you guessed? Lion Dam.
