We knew months ago that a lioness from our northern pride was pregnant. She then disappeared for a while and we knew she had cubs hidden well east of KwaMbili. For her and her cubs’ sake the site was closed to game viewing. Later she brought the cubes out for all to see. Now the cubs are just over 3 months old and looking very healthy. We caught up with them the other day while they were feeding off of a wildebeest kill. Their mother will soon start teaching them to hunt, something vital to their survival in the future.
